CHANGE

As you have been reading from my undercover boss stint, I came away with so much it has taken me more than a month to work out some changes that I saw were needed to improve our work.

During my days of cleaning the largest route, it was a lot like the Amazing Race, that is on TV as well. It was a challenge to get to the end of each day with the amount of pools on that route. When I started it the route was so overwhelming I was behind each day. But as the days went on, I was able to complete them and change the order to increase the productivity until I was able to have a system for each stop. This system is not feasible for the average person, so I decided on some changes for the better.

Last month I hired on a service cleaning technician that use to work here about 7 years ago. Shawn Byers was here for about 10 years before he went into business himself. Shawn now wants more time with his family and decided to take a more stable less time consuming job back with us. This allowed me to then re- work some routes so that it gives more opportunity for the pool man to do a better job, something that was needed. We still have Victor working with SPP and now Shawn and so far we have had good reviews on this change.

I am going to continue to work out route issues that need attention and so you may see a different tech in the future but they are all techs that have been here for many years. Some of the changes will help both the pool man and you the client. I also still may show up to your pool to clean it but that won’t be until after August at this point but you never know…

JULY 4th

The July 4th holiday falls on a Sunday this year. SPP is going to be open during the Friday before and the Monday after the holiday to assist you anyway we can. If you are planning a party and need any of our services, please let us know as soon as possible so we can properly schedule our time. Please know that we are here to help get that pool ready for whatever plans you have.

GOOD FILTRATION

At SPP we have taken good filtration to another level and have been working very hard to get every filter on every pool cleaned and we are making good progress. With the expansion of the pool cleaners it now allows team Ron and Tom to be able to get to more of the filters that have been approved for cleaning on our work order board. We still have many to go but will continue to work at it until all have been taken care of. It sure has proved to me that our new system is doing well for the clients as we are seeing many that need more than just a cleaning. Since we have removed this duty from our pool cleaners we now can keep track of when they are cleaned and what condition they are in. This is all documented and will allow us to follow the condition of the most important element to the pool…The Filter. Thanks for allowing us that opportunity….
